A three-position lever handle effortlessly opens the unit at the top for draft-free ventilation, swings it inward for exit or easy and risk free cleaning, or locks it into the closed position.

Hopper windows tilt inwards from the top and can be operated using a lever on the bottom jamb, or a (removable) crankshaft, or an extended handle attached to the wall.
